How words shape our reality2/25/2022 Words matter. Words stimulate us emotionally and or mentally which then moves us into action. How you say things, influence's other peoples reactions to what you are saying. John has arthritis. John has a stiff knee. Two different statements. Both of which could simultaneously be true. Yet, they likely conjure up different thoughts. The word 'arthritis' means having a condition that is chronic. When we think of arthritis we think of a permanent condition that will cause pain and possibly reduced range of motion or limitations on mobility. When you hear that someone has a "stiff knee" on the other hand - this does not tend to conjure up thoughts of a long lasting condition. Words matter. Labels are like words on steroids. Labels communicate entire stories in an instant. Yet at the same time labels are very limiting because they associate one word with a certain set of parameters. When we use labels we can get caught in the trap of buying into a story. What happens when someone is diagnosed with a particular medical condition? Typically they first want to learn about the condition right? They want to know what to expect so they can prepare for it and plan how to manage it. So a person will read about the condition because they have accepted that they in fact have the condition (because the Dr. told them so) and they accept that they could experience a range of symptoms associated with the condition (even though maybe they only have one symptom currently). They are buying into the diagnosis, they are accepting it as their truth and they may begin to change their behaviour in order to prepare for how their condition might worsen. Perhaps they have an expectation that their condition will worsen. This is often influenced by what the Dr. says. Our minds and bodies are miraculous. We can actually heal ourselves with thought alone and it's not even that unusual or special. Can you imagine if you went for surgery to repair arthritis in your knee and later, after you had completely recovered and no longer had any symptoms you discovered that the procedure wasn't completed and the only thing that was done was an incision to make it appear like the surgery had been performed? You don't have to imagine, because this is exactly what happened in a study back in 2002. This is the placebo effect in action. Words influence thoughts. Thoughts create emotions. Emotional states lead us to perform certain actions. Actions create results and outcomes in our lives. Use words consciously and deliberately and you will master your results by default. #StayCurious

Have you ever wondered if you have had other lives besides your current life?
It's quite the question to ponder. The first recorded incidence of a past life being uncovered during hypnosis was way back in 1952. Since that time this phenomenon has grown and continues to grow to this day. I first became aware of the possibility of exploring past lives through a book that I read by Dr. Brian Weiss called Many Lives, Many Masters. Dr. Brian Weiss, a traditional therapist had clients who spontaneously began experiencing 'past lives' in their sessions. Intrigued, Dr Weiss and other therapists began researching into these experiences. I found it fascinating that numerous accounts of past life experiences have been able to be verified as factual. In fact some of these accounts have come from children who described memories of things that did not make any sense to their parents. Upon further investigation it was found that they were describing accounts of verifiable past events that they would have no way of knowing about through ordinary means. The University of Virginia School of Medicine website has some great information on this topic. A child's natural waking state can actually be considered a state of hypnosis. We all know that children are like sponges soaking up all the information around them and yet they don't yet have the reasoning power to sort and sift through the information. So it's not surprising that children would be able to access details from other experiences including "past lives". Another theory to explain the remembrance of events from the past is that of cellular memory. Meaning that the cells themselves are able to store memories and information. This theory is also used to explain new habits and preferences in people who receive organ transplants where the new behaviour can be attributed to the donor of the organ. Maybe when we are able to understand more about the 90% of our DNA that science has labelled as 'junk' we will gain additional understanding into this phenomenon. We also know that our epigenetic profiles are informed by events and experiences that occurred to our parents and grandparents. If for example, your grandparent experienced famine or a significant trauma this will have a very real effect upon your own epigenetics and thereby influencing your physiology. And we do know that this inheritance can be traced through numerous generations. We are much more connected and influenced by each other than it may appear at a first glance. There are different religions which also speak about the idea of reincarnation and living many lives. Some spiritual teachings say that we are all part of the same overall essence or energy so maybe we could even say that a little bit of us has been inside every life that has ever existed. Another theory that plays into this topic is that time itself is an illusion. And this is no longer a far fetched idea, it's been discussed in top scientific journals. Although it can be challenging for our minds to comprehend how everything can be occurring simultaneously, for me it feels more true than the idea of linear time. Many of my clients have experienced parallel lives during their sessions where there are multiple aspects of them living in different bodies concurrently. Coming back to the original question of whether or not you have experienced other lives, we can see there are some different ways of exploring more into that question. I'm not here to provide you with answers as I feel we each need to come to our own conclusions. But perhaps it might be something you are interested in exploring for yourself. You may think but why does this topic even matter? It doesn't change anything in my immediate situation so who cares? I would counter that if it helps you to understand more fully into yourself, your identity and your patterns then could it not also massively assist you to with transforming those aspects of yourself that have been impressed upon you like an overlay on top of your true self? Perhaps helping you to grow and evolve to a place of more ease and joy in your life. If you've wondered about other life experiences, it's possible to have a direct experience of other aspects of yourself during a Beyond Quantum Healing session. #StayCurious

Hypnosis. What it is, and what it isn't1/18/2022 Hypnosis often conjures up the idea of some sort of loss of control of one’s mind. But is that grounded in reality? Is there a loss of control while in a hypnotic trance state?
The word “trance” implies a state of semi-consciousness, in which an individual is unaware of what is going on around them and is incapable of taking any action for themselves. Or perhaps your mind goes to the entertaining use of stage hypnosis. Neither of these scenarios are reflective of what takes place during a Beyond Quantum Healing Session. The word hypnosis simply means “the coming on of sleep”. You see, it is a natural state of relaxation that is entered daily as we drift off to sleep. Most clients report that there were no tell tale signs that they were in a state of hypnosis, and that they simply felt relaxed throughout the session. The whole intent with hypnosis as it is used in BQH is to quiet the thinking, rational mind in order to access the wisdom that resides within the subconscious. A very small percentage of people will naturally go into a deeper state of hypnosis called a somnambulistic state. This is what’s happening during sleepwalking. The body is awake, but the higher mind is asleep and usually not much of the episode will be recalled upon waking. For those people who are natural somnambulists they will remember little of what they experienced in a session. This does not minimize the benefits gained from the process. But it is helpful for these clients especially, to have a recording of their session to watch at a later time. One study indicated that sleepwalking occurs in 29% of children. In adults the prevalence is about 4%. But just because you sleepwalk does not necessarily mean you will go into a somnambulist state during hypnosis. I can tell you this from personal experience! As a child I had frequent sleepwalking episodes and I do still have an occasional occurrence as an adult. Yet I have never gone into a somnambulist state during any of the numerous hypnosis sessions I have experienced. Clinical hypnotherapy is yet another approach and it relies upon the use of hypnotic suggestions as a means to benefit clients. Beyond Quantum Healing does not employ clinical hypnotherapy techniques such as hypnotic suggestion. What needs to be stated about the hypnotic state is that individuals always retain their free will and cannot be convinced to do anything that they would not normally do during a fully alert state. BQH clients report feeling relaxed as they receive a flow of information, of which they cannot explain the origin, yet it holds deep meaning for them. If you are feeling some interest in experiencing this for yourself let’s connect! #StayCurious
